The prayer meeting starts with five decades of the holy rosary, followed by the Litany of St. Gerard, words of exultation, other prayers from the St. Gerard prayer book, intercessory prayers. We encourage one another and end the prayer meeting with the litany of Brother Gerard.

Every Friday, we sacrifice one hour of our sleep to pray in union with St. Gerard from 12 a.m. – 1 a.m., with the following prayer intentions, which are subject to change:

1st Friday: For those seeking for the fruit of the womb and a safe delivery.
2nd Friday: For those seeking for their choice of vocation and a life partner.
3rd Friday: For progress in all families and for families in critical circumstances.
4th Friday: For the less privileged and the unemployed.

On Wednesdays we fast from 6 a.m. to 12 noon for the intentions of the devotees of St. Gerard worldwide and we attend Mass.

Finally, we observe the monthly novena of St. Gerard from the 7th to the 15th and also mark the feast of St. Gerard every October 16th with a celebration and sharing with mostly women the handkerchief with the printed the image of St. Gerard on it and with the inscription: “St. Gerard Never Stop”. This year 180 handkerchiefs were shared to the glory of God.

I, Sister Vera Frank-Omenedo petitioned, through St. Gerard’s intercession, for fruit of the womb and a safe delivery. My prayers were answered and, to remind us to be always grateful to this humble saint, my husband and I named our son “Gerard”.

Mrs. Osita prayed the Novena of St. Gerard seeking the fruit of the womb. After three years of waiting she was blessed with a son.

During the sharing of handkerchief after the 6:30 a.m. Mass, a lady called upon St. Gerard as soon as she received her handkerchief to intercede for her. She conceived that same month of October and safely delivered a baby boy after nine months.

Almighty God from his boyhood years you blessed St. Gerard with generosity of soul, and led him to do your will in heroic ways.

By your grace he lived his brief life in intense love for you and for those in need. Hear his prayers now for us and for all poor souls in trouble.

St. Gerard, friend of sinners, friend of the poor, friend of mothers and children, it is our joy and consolation to come to your Feast celebration, to remember the goodness of your life, your burning sense of God, your tender love for Our Lord and his mother, Mary, your kindness and care for everyone in need.

Pray for us now in our time of need. Pray for us in our sickness. Pray for us in our confusion and despair. Pray for us in our struggle with life and its mysteries.

Remember especially those who long for children, mothers about to give birth, the unemployed and young people in the choice of their vocation. Remember those who have wandered from the practice of the faith and need the grace of reconciliation. Remember all of us poor sinners in our particular needs.

Hear us, O Lord. St. Gerard intercede for us.

Most Blessed Trinity, I, your child, thank you for all the gifts and privileges which you granted to St. Gerard, especially for those virtues with which you adorned him on earth and the glory which you now impart to him in heaven. Accomplish your work, O Lord, so that your kingdom may come about on earth. Through his merits, in union with those of Jesus and Mary, grant me the grace for which I ask…. (Mention your request.)

And you, my powerful intercessor, St. Gerard, always so ready to help those who have recourse to you, pray for me. Come before the throne of Divine Mercy and do not leave without being heard. To you I confide this important and urgent affair……….. Graciously take my cause in hand and do not let me end this Feast without having experienced in some way the effects of your intercession. Amen.

Brother Gerard, you spent your life in union with Jesus Christ,
help us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

Prayer to St. Gerard

Dear Saint Gerard Majella,
we seek your intercession for all mothers,
especially immigrant and refugee mothers,
living in desperate situations,
facing prejudice and rejection.
Obtain for them
the grace, wisdom, strength, patience and courage
to overcome all fear and anxiety,
and face all difficulties and troubles,
as they struggle to provide for their children.

And may all expectant mothers be calm and confident,
in the face of uncertainties and problems,
trusting in your powerful intercession
to obtain all that they most need
for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.
May they give birth safely.
Guide the hands of all who assist at birth.
May all mothers and babies be healthy,
free from any harm and all danger.
May they be strong in their conviction
that you are with them,
and will take them by the hand and
guide them safely through it all.
